Today, Juniors and seniors in Mrs. Dean's English class learned about American playwright Tennessee Williams from renowned acting coach and scholar Karen Kohlaas. Students watched a clip from Ms. Kolhaas's documentary "Tennessee Williams in the Mississippi Delta: The Love of Things Irreconcilable," and learned about the history of Clarksdale during the early 20th century. Over the next week, students will participate in a monologue workshop with Ms. Kolhaas featuring characters from "Spring Storm," the featured play in this year's Tennessee Williams Festival October 17-19.
