Four Lee Academy students participated in the Mississippi Council of Teachers of Mathematics Regional 7th and 8th Grade Math Tournament held at Coahoma Community College. These students qualified for the regional competition since they were the top scorers in the local contest at Lee Academy. Participating were Lucy Beth Anthony and Gaines Flowers, 7th grade; and Cayson Barringer and Caroline Dulaney, 8th grade. Gaines Flowers won first place for 7th grade in the regional competition and will therefore advance to the MCTM State Tournament to be held April 1 at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus.
