We are excited to announce our first service project of the year. Eleventh grade student Alyssa Vassel started the Initiative Club which will allow students to take the initiative to participate in community service projects. Please encourage your child to participate in the Initiative Club. This is a great way to serve your school and community. This month we will be working to help the Griot Arts program. Griot Arts is an after school program that empowers young people in Clarksdale to create positive change in their lives and community by providing access to opportunities in the arts, education, and workforce development.
Each house has a list of items to bring and donate. Those items are listed on the attached flyer.
We have donation sign up sheets outside of the office. When your student brings a donation, please have him or her sign the sheet to receive service hours and credit for their houses. The house with the most donations at the end of the month will win a free dress week.
