Mrs. Evans attended high school at Tunica Academy. She obtained my college degree at Belhaven College (Jackson, MS) in Psychology with a minor in History. Her husband is Allen C. Evans, III. He owns and operates Evans Planting Company. She has one child , Merri Evelyn, who is a student at Lee Academy. They are active members of First United Methodist Church.
Her interests vary from reading, antiques/history, and cooking to riding horses. She loves all of God's creatures. She currently has 3 horses, 3 dogs and a house cat. She also enjoys skeet shooting with her family.
One of the things she loves about Lee is that the school emphasizes developing moral Christian character, education, citizenship/patriotism. Also, equally important the school teaches team work and the ability to win or lose that is taught through other activities, such as athletics. She loves watching students compete in the many sports offered at Lee. GO COLTS!!!
"My favorite thing about Lee would be the love at our school. The faculty/administration are there everyday because we love our students and we love Lee Academy. Through everything, we at Lee are still caring, giving and compassionate. We carry each other in good times and hard times. Everyone looks after each other. We all come together to help each other, whether it's students (and their families) or a teacher in need at school; also, both faculty and students go out to help/volunteer where there is a need in the community . Every teacher wants the students at Lee to succeed, to create in students a solid foundation so they can be successful in all their future endeavors, as well as be strong, moral, Christian leaders in their job field/ business and as civic leaders in the community.
That's Lee to me."
