The 8th and 11th grade classes will be collecting items for the Coahoma County Diaper Bank as their service project this month.
There is a drop off box located in the hall at Lee. All students, faculty, and friends are encouraged to donate diapers, wipes, formula, or new baby clothes. The deadline is December 1.
"Many families in Coahoma County struggle to provide even the most basic necessities for their children. The goal of the Coahoma County Diaper Bank is to lighten this load through providing emergency baby supplies. The diaper bank provides diapers, wipes, formula, and donated items to families in need. The services are free and open to all. The diaper bank also serves as a central intake and distribution hub for early childhood donations in Coahoma County. They accept gently used early childhood items such as: good condition clothes, blankets, toys, and car seats." Please visit the Coahoma County Diaper Bank Facebook page to learn about more ways to help.
